Xperi is a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and we are committed to creating an environment where our employees and business partners feel included and safe. As part of these efforts, we’ve been working diligently over the past few years to be recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation on their Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. We are proud to announce that Xperi has received a score of 100 on the 2025 CEI.
Xperi increased its score from 85 points in 2021 and 95 points in 2023 by maintaining the activities and policies we implemented in previous years in addition to developing workplace gender transition guidance and introducing non-binary/trans representation in our metadata product, among other initiatives.
“Our score of 100 this year is the culmination of several years of work across multiple teams,” said Alec Custer, chair of the Pride @ Xperi employee resource group. “The HRC’s evaluation is truly comprehensive, scoring companies on criteria ranging from inclusive health benefits to targeting recruiting efforts. Reaching this milestone represents Xperi’s ongoing commitment to ensuring that all employees feel safe and supported. It’s also a foundation that energizes us for the work ahead — proof that through collaboration and perseverance, we can make meaningful progress toward equity and inclusion in the workplace.”
This recognition reflects the values we uphold every day: ensuring that all employees feel respected, supported and empowered to succeed. We are proud to stand alongside other organizations committed to creating fair and inclusive workplaces.
“The CEI is so much more than a score on paper. For decades businesses have relied on the CEI as a tool for transparency and leveling the playing field for all workers, making sure LGBTQ+ people and their families can share in fair, respectful and supportive workplaces and benefits,” said RaShawn “Shawnie” Hawkins, SHRM-CP, HRC Foundation senior director of workplace equality. “As conversations evolve on corporate America’s approach to diversity, equity and inclusion, year-over-year growth in CEI participation is evidence of a business community that largely recognizes the responsibility and value in upholding equity and inclusion. The work of the CEI is to help businesses expand their consumer base and attract top, innovative talent by supporting the LGBTQ+ community.”
The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:
- Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
- Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
- Supporting an inclusive culture; and
- Corporate social responsibility.
