How do you create extraordinary experiences in your role?
I work with the audio software team to develop our audio products and solutions. I work in a range of programming languages — primarily C and C# — across multiple platforms.
How long have you worked at Xperi and what led you to our industry?
I’ve been with Xperi for about six months after spending six years in the industry since graduating from the University of Derby. Xperi looked like a great fit to me as I’ve always wanted to experience working for a large, international tech company but always wanted to work within the audio industry.
In your own words, what does Xperi do?
Xperi provides world-leading solutions to the audio/visual industry.
What’s your favorite part about working at Xperi?
The team I am a part of. Onboarding has been a lot easier than I expected and the culture the team has developed is a great environment to work in.
When you’re not at work, how do you spend your time?
When not at work, you can often find me with my wife walking our dachshund named Doug. On the weekends, I enjoy playing poker — I think it’s the perfect mix of odds, psychology, risk analysis and luck. I’ve also recently become a coffee enthusiast and enjoy trying out any specialty coffees I can find!
What is your favorite movie or TV show?
I don’t watch too many TV shows, if my TV is on it will likely be showing sports (I love watching football, rugby or cricket). That said, I am a big fan of “Star Wars” (nerdy, I know…) and most Chris Nolan films!
