Describe your role:
I am responsible for driving the adoption of HD Radio technology in Mexico as well as developing business opportunities for all Xperi broadcast solutions in the Latin American region.
How long have you worked at Xperi and what led you to our industry?
I joined iBiquity in 2013 and it has been a greatly satisfying journey since then. Building long-term customer relationships with key industry players like broadcasters, regulators and automotive companies helping them to engage with their final users through our products. I’m very passionate about media platforms and new technologies. Before joining iBiquity, I held various marketing positions in TV Azteca where I had the chance to launch a Pay TV system and a few digital TV channels.
If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?
My superpower would be flying, that way I can get any place faster—especially in a crowded city like Mexico. I would be able to avoid traffic and do more things in a day.

Who inspires you?
I am a big soccer fan. Real Madrid has been my favorite team since I was a young child, and I have seen many of the best players in the world who have inspired me over the years. If I have to choose one, I would say Cristiano Ronaldo. Besides the fact that he is a great athlete, he has shown me to never give up, never stop trying and always do the best I can.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself or something people would be surprised to learn about you:
My wife and I love musicals. When I asked her to marry me, I planned a surprise at a Broadway play that performed a special season in Mexico. At the end of the play, the actors invited her on stage where I proposed to her with live orchestra music and confetti explosions.
