Xperi Wows Berlin at IFA 2025 with Unforgettable Entertainment Experiences

September 15, 2025 Xperi

Every September, companies from all over the world gather at the IFA trade show in Berlin, Germany, to showcase the latest innovations in consumer electronics. This year’s show featured exciting innovations in AI, smart home technology, sustainable, eco-friendly solutions and digital entertainment. For Xperi, IFA 2025 was all about highlighting how the company’s brands, including TiVo, DTS and IMAX Enhanced, are enabling extraordinary entertainment experiences for everyone.

TiVo OS takes Europe by storm

TiVo OS is an independent operating system for connected televisions (CTV) that enables TV manufacturers to offer their consumers a simple, personalized, content-first interface that puts the viewer at the center of the experience. The first Powered by TiVo products were introduced in Europe in 2023, and in just two short years, the program has been adopted by dozens of television brands, reaching consumers in over 40 countries through multiple retailers.

“I had an incredible first time experiencing IFA. The energy, the innovations, and the way robotics, AI, and new technologies are transforming how we interact with the world were truly inspiring,” said Damian Jahn, senior software QA engineer. “This also marks my fourth anniversary at Xperi — I joined the company to work on what is now TiVo OS. I still remember the early days of building prototypes from scratch. Seeing how far the product has come over these four years fills me with pride. Watching TiVo OS grow into a unique and powerful platform has been an amazing journey.”

TiVo OS was front and center at IFA 2025, with companies including Sharp, Vestel, Metz and Panasonic demonstrating televisions Powered by TiVo. The Xperi booth highlighted new TiVo OS features, including improved voice search, a partner picks carousel for expanded content discovery, and the integration of DTS:X immersive audio.

“For me, the real highlight of IFA was the conversations with our partners and seeing the growth of TiVo OS in action across our booth and throughout the halls,” said Dylan Wondra, vice president of product management. “I want to give a big thanks to all the teams and the believers in our product who are on this adventure with us.”

Additionally, TiVo OS received a prestigious Best of IFA Award in the TV category, a validation of the product’s impact and innovation.

DTS and IMAX Enhanced blow the socks off Berlin

The other major focus for Xperi at IFA 2025 was around DTS, the company’s immersive audio solution, and IMAX Enhanced, a home entertainment ecosystem combining a digitally remastered IMAX picture and immersive sound encoded in DTS:X. On Sept. 4, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced it would be expanding its already considerable catalog of IMAX Enhanced content to include hundreds of new titles that will initially be available on televisions from Toshiba and Hisense in the United Kingdom and Germany.

Visitors to the Xperi booth were treated to the bone-rattling audio and visually astonishing video quality of IMAX Enhanced in action, the only way to enjoy the IMAX experience outside of the cinema. Leading projector company XGIMI also showed off its IMAX Enhanced Horizon and Titan models, featuring a demo of IMAX Enhanced Marvel content from Disney+.

Not to be outdone by TiVo, DTS also received a Best of IFA award from Gadgety for DTS Clear Dialogue, an innovative dialogue enhancement solution designed to address the widespread problem of streaming audio intelligibility.

“This was my first trip to IFA, and I was wowed by all of the impressive innovation,” said Mary Ann O’Brien, chief marketing officer. “I was particularly excited for us to showcase how we’re solving real consumer problems with a product like DTS Clear Dialogue. You can’t have an extraordinary entertainment experience if you can’t hear the dialogue on the screen, after all!”

All in all, it was another great year for Xperi at IFA, and another step forward for the future of digital entertainment. Auf Wiedersehen, Berlin, we’ll see you in 2026!
