The Transparency in Coverage rule requires health plans and insurers to disclose pricing information for in-network negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers through machine-readable files. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to easily access and analyze data.
