How do you create extraordinary experiences in your role?

I am responsible for managing the machine learning program and support services teams. Our mission is to provide machine learning users with a shared-services platform that centrally manages and stores data collections for training data. We are also expanding the platform to manage machine learning jobs that train or validate models so our stakeholders can build innovative and evolutionary solutions for their clients.

How long have you worked at Xperi and what led you to our industry?

I’ve been at Xperi for almost four years. I initially joined the company in 2019 as a contractor to help run a variety of projects — spanning from DevOps to IT and marketing. Today, I am the program manager for the machine learning program. I’ve worked in project management in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. I’m very passionate about how entertainment and media can influence and inspire humanity. I’m proud to be part of the Xperi team. Last October, it was a landmark seeing our CEO ring the bell at the New York Stock Exchange.

What makes you most excited about leading your team?

I like working with teams to lead positive change. When people work together to achieve a common goal or create something new together, whether it’s a process, a product or project, it’s truly inspiring.

Fun Facts:

Who inspires you?

My executive mentors. My team. My family. Everyone has a story I find inspirational.

What’s one word to describe yourself?

Resourceful. We often get assigned projects or business where there’s not enough time, budget or resources. I always find that the best trick lies within inspiring your team. It’s the people who provide an abundance of quality, value and capability to any project or endeavor. People can create value where there is none. People can make the impossible possible.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself or something people would be surprised to learn about you:

I founded a small fashion business about eight years ago called Sharpe Suiting. It’s a public benefit company that utilizes fashion and media to empower more visibility and equality towards empowering diverse and marginalized groups — women, LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. I enjoy seeing how this team has grown. And it’s another cool thing I get to do outside of Xperi.
