San Jose, CA
Describe your role:
I manage a team that supports engineering and support roles tied to engineering. We help create processes, tools, documentation, training and infrastructure within the organization.
How long have you worked at Xperi and what led you to our industry?
I started with TiVo back in 2003 in the manufacturing engineering department. My role was to help launch new products into manufacturing. This included working with all the engineering teams to create the product. It also included traveling to different sites to create the manufacturing assembly line, testing and training. Later, I moved to support the local engineering infrastructure. This now includes tools, labs, equipment procurement and many other roles.
Who inspires you?
No particular person. I look up to independent people who have made a successful and fulfilling life without the help of others. Getting that mindset straight and realizing you can do anything you want is the key to success in my book.
What’s one word to describe yourself?
When you’re not at work, how do you spend your time?
Five nights a week of softball and going to the theatre once a week.
What’s the last book you read?
I’m not much of a reader, but I enjoy listening to audiobooks about management, success, investing and personal growth.
